Position Title
Patient Care Coordinator & Medical Billing Specialist
Location: Taguig
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator & Medical Billing Specialist to support patient services and manage healthcare billing operations. The ideal candidate will assist patients with scheduling, communication, and care coordination while ensuring accurate insurance verification, claims processing, and billing compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care Coordination
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and healthcare providers
Assist patients with inquiries regarding treatments, appointments, and insurance coverage
Maintain accurate patient records and update medical information as needed
Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and patient care plans
Ensure a positive and professional patient experience
Medical Billing & Administrative Duties
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Prepare, submit, and track medical claims to insurance companies
Process patient invoices and collect payments
Review billing information for accuracy and compliance
Handle denied or rejected claims and follow up for resolution
Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial records in compliance with healthcare regulations
Generate billing reports and maintain organized documentation
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous experience in healthcare administration, patient coordination, or medical billing preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance procedures, and billing systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
Experience with ICD-10, CPT, and insurance coding procedures
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Time management and accuracy in handling sensitive information
Work Environment
Medical clinic, hospital, healthcare facility, or remote healthcare support environment
Full-time or part-time positions may be available depending on organizational needs
