About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer – ServiceNow to lead the design, development, customization, and integration of ServiceNow solutions that support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow AppEngine, workflow automation, integrations, Agile delivery, and application development best practices.
This role requires close collaboration with project teams, business stakeholders, and technical leads to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric ServiceNow solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules.
Build and maintain complex workflows, forms, scripts, business rules, and automation solutions.
Develop and enhance ServiceNow applications using AppEngine and platform capabilities.
Integrate ServiceNow with internal systems and third-party applications using industry-standard integration protocols.
Perform root cause analysis of platform issues and implement preventive solutions.
Organize and maintain taxonomies, knowledge bases, record producers, and self-service portals.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in sprint planning, release planning, and Agile ceremonies.
Lead development, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
Support production releases and monitor application performance post-deployment.
Create and maintain technical documentation including:
High-Level Solution Design (HLSD)
Solution Design Documents (SDD)
Security License to Operate (SLTO)
Deployment and Release Plans
Ensure platform compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards.
Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
Mentor team members and share technical expertise across the development team.
Ensure solutions align with ITIL practices and organizational governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Strong expertise in ServiceNow AppEngine and platform development.
Experience developing and implementing ServiceNow integrations using standard integration protocols.
Proven experience designing and building custom ServiceNow applications.
Strong knowledge of workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts, and automation capabilities.
Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining development best practices.
Strong understanding of security, governance, and compliance requirements within enterprise applications.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow certifications are highly preferred.
Experience with enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical initiatives.
Exposure to digital transformation or enterprise modernization projects.
Candidate Requirements
