Senior Data Platform Engineer – Role Summary

The Senior Data Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data platforms to support scalable analytics and data-driven decision-making. Based in Ortigas, Pasig (hybrid setup, three days onsite), this one-year contract role requires close collaboration with business and technical teams to deliver high-performing data solutions.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining secure, scalable data pipelines and modern data lake or warehouse architectures. The role involves optimizing workflows for performance and cost in cloud environments such as Azure, while leveraging tools like Databricks and Azure Data Factory. The engineer monitors platform reliability, troubleshoots issues, and ensures continuous improvement of data processes.

The position also requires preparing detailed technical designs, applying best practices in coding, testing, and CI/CD deployment, and participating in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to translate data requirements into actionable insights.

Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least five years of experience in software or platform engineering, including system design and cloud technologies (Azure or AWS). Strong skills in Terraform, Python or TypeScript, SQL, and data warehousing are required, along with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
