HIRING: Senior Mainframe System Administrator

Work Setup: Hybrid (2x/week onsite) – Uptown, Taguig

Shift: Morning

Location: Manila (Exact site TBA)

Note: Only candidates who are residents of the Philippines and legally allowed to work in the country will be considered.

Important Restrictions:

Not open to former/current Accenture employees

No job hoppers (must have at least 1 year tenure per company)

Role Overview:

Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise mainframe systems (IBM z/OS, AS400/IBM iSeries). Ensures system availability, performance, security, and disaster recovery. May also lead and mentor a technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain IBM z/OS and AS400 systems

Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning

Manage system security, user access, backups, and DR procedures

Coordinate incident resolution and system integration with other teams

Schedule batch jobs, apply patches, and handle system upgrades

Maintain documentation and participate in on-call support

Support training and technical skill development within the team

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field

Minimum 5 years of Mainframe System Administration experience

Strong expertise in:
- IBM z/OS and subsystems
- AS400 / IBM iSeries
- CICS, VSAM, and mainframe hardware/software
- Mainframe security, storage, and middleware tools

Familiarity with ITIL, change management, and monitoring tools

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred (Nice to Have):

IBM Certified System Administrator – z/OS or AS400

Experience with modernization, virtualization, or cloud integration

Knowledge of Control-M, CA-7, or other enterprise schedulers

Exposure to DevOps practices in legacy environments
