The USRN – Voice position is designed for qualified nurses to provide telephone-based support and medical assessment services. This role combines clinical expertise with communication skills to assist patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies with medical inquiries. The primary purpose of the position is to deliver high-quality nursing care and support in a remote setting, ensuring patient concerns are addressed effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Patient Communication: Engage with patients to gather health information, address inquiries, and provide health education and advice.
- Clinical Assessment: Utilize clinical judgment to assess patient needs over the phone and recommend appropriate care or referrals.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient interactions and maintain patient records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care for patients.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations and organization policies to ensure patient safety and best practices in clinical care.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on medical protocols, treatments, and industry trends to provide the best possible care and advice.
- Shift Coverage: Fulfill responsibilities during assigned shifting/graveyard hours, accommodating the needs of patients across various time zones.
