Title/position name - Maintenance & HSE Engineer

Job Location - Long Thanh, Dong Nai

Salary : 193,607,089 VND (Annual)

Key responsibilities

Remember that responsibilities can be e.g. managerial, budget and/ or project responsibilities; combined with responsibilities in terms of coordination, development or actual execution Key responsibilities

Maintenance (~70%)

• Lead the engineering department.

• To maintain all plant equipment and machinery at its optimum operating condition.

• To carried out planned preventive maintenance.

• To  minimize unexpected breakdown.

• To co-ordinate with spare parts supplier, service agent and contractor to ensure problems are troubleshoot immediately.

• To eliminate unnecessary damage to machines and property by worker carelessness.

• To support group engineering initiatives & activity.

• Maintain site asset tagging.

• Maintain high standard of Safety & 5S in maintenance & site work areas.

• To follow any other instructions given by superior.

HSE (~30%)

• Administering the scheduled waste control.

• Ensure all HSE records and data are promptly and accurately updated and reported.

• Make training schedule and support training relating to HSE.

• Provide support to the implementation of HSE related improvement initiatives/programs as identified.

Key tasks

• Planning, organising and supervising day to day task of engineering department

• Effectively playing a lead role and be fully responsible in leading the engineering team

• Carried out scheduled preventive maintenance

• Maintain and upkeep all maintenance related data and records as required by Hempel Group 

• Minimize dependent to external contractor on carrying out repair or maintenance job

• Work as a team closely with production, QC and other plant department

• Maintain maintenance spare part stocks accuracy 

• Work closely with finance to ensure all new asset are tagged and old asset tags are well maintained

• Ensure adherence to site safety all time

• Schedule and perform factory inspections and make inspection reports to management to mitigate HSE risk.

• Initiate and coordinate Risk Assessment reviews.

• Carry out Accident /Incident investigations.

• Maintain training schedule relating to HSE requirements..

• Record and track Scheduled Waste generation and disposal

• Initiate and schedule monthly HSE review meetings and make record and follow up on actions required.

• Conduct daily production tool box meetings.

• Compile necessary regulatory reports for management review before submission.

Required education, experience and job-related skills

Formal education as well as industry, professional, product or functional experience

Relevant certifications, IT knowledge or linguistic competencies Required education, experience and job-related skills

• Min Electrical /Mechanical  Engineer, above will be added advantage

• 1 – 2  years’ experience in chemical plant preferable, but candidate with high potential will be highly considered

• Knowledge on electrical, pneumatic & mechanical machinery related to paint processing will be added advantage

• Read, write and speak fluent Vietnamese

• Read, write and speak simple English

• Computer literate
