Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced BlackLine Consultant with a strong background in Finance and Accounting, ERP applications, and financial process transformation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting BlackLine modules, particularly Account Reconciliation, Task Management, and Journal Entry.

The candidate will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, document functional specifications, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective BlackLine solutions aligned with finance and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support BlackLine solutions based on business requirements.

• Work extensively on BlackLine modules, including Account Reconciliation, Task Management, and Journal Management.

• Gather and analyze business requirements by interacting with customers and finance stakeholders.

• Prepare functional requirement documents, process documentation, and configuration specifications.

• Understand finance and accounting processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial close activities.

• Perform system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

• Differentiate between standard system configuration and customization requirements.

• Collaborate with ERP, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and process efficiency.

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, deployment, and post-implementation support.

• Develop, interpret, and troubleshoot standard ERP reports and custom reports.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced financial controls.

• Manage project deliverables, timelines, stakeholder communication, and service quality.

• Troubleshoot issues across BlackLine modules beyond the primary area of expertise, wherever required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting, ERP consulting, or financial systems implementation.

• Hands-on experience with BlackLine implementation, configuration, or support.

• Experience working on at least 2–3 projects involving Account Reconciliation, Task Management, and Journals.

• Preferably, exposure to multiple BlackLine modules.

• Working knowledge of ERP applications and finance-related business processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience in business requirement gathering, documentation, and functional analysis.

• Understanding of configuration versus customization in ERP applications.

• Excellent communication, client interaction, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in project delivery, testing, and issue management.

Good-to-Have Skills

• CA, CA Inter, Cost Accountant, or an equivalent qualification in Finance and Accounting.

• Hands-on exposure to BlackLine ICH, Cash Application, Financial Reporting Analytics (FRA), and BI Studio.

• Experience in building or understanding standard ERP reports and custom reports.

• Strong project management, delivery, and coordination skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues across different BlackLine modules.

• ERP certification or relevant implementation training.

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).

• B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, or a bachelor's/master's degree in Finance and Accounting or an equivalent qualification.

• ERP certification or proficiency in relevant ERP applications is preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will combine strong finance and accounting knowledge with hands-on BlackLine expertise, client-facing consulting experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. Candidates with implementation experience across multiple BlackLine modules and a proven track record in project delivery will be preferred.
