Fixed Assets Accounting – Team Lead

Location: Kolkata
Experience: 8–10 Years

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Fixed Assets Accounting – Team Lead to lead end-to-end Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting processes. The role will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, strong financial controls, SLA adherence, process improvement, and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting processes, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, lease recognition, remeasurement, and reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper financial controls.
Ensure compliance with SOX and audit requirements and support internal and external audits.
Track SLAs, KPIs, quality, and process performance to ensure consistent service delivery.
Drive process improvement, automation, standardization, and transformation initiatives.
Manage, mentor, and develop team members while ensuring effective work allocation and productivity.
Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate updates, risks, and issues effectively.
Proactively identify and resolve process risks and operational challenges.
Support transition and migration activities as required.

Fixed Assets Accounting – Capitalization and Depreciation
Lease Accounting – IFRS 16 / ASC 842
Month-End Close and Reconciliation
Stakeholder Management
Team Management
Strong Analytical Skills
Experience with SAP or JDE

Good-to-Have Skills

ERP and workflow tools
Advanced Excel and Power BI
Automation and Digital Finance Solutions
Lean / Six Sigma or process improvement methodologies
Transition / Migration experience
Data Analytics and Reporting

Educational Qualification

Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).
B.Com, M.Com, Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance & Accounting, or equivalent qualification.

Required Experience

8–10 years of relevant experience
Experience in Procurement / P2P processes.
Strong experience in Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting.
Experience in team handling and stakeholder management.

Technical & Communication Skills

Moderate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good understanding and hands-on experience with SAP/JDE.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders.
Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills.
Good time-management and organizational skills.

Other Requirements

Candidate should be flexible to work in ANZ shift (4/5 AM).
5 days work from office is mandatory.
Flexibility with working hours is required.
Positive attitude and strong sense of accountability.
Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging customer/stakeholder conversations.
Ex-TCS employees are not eligible to apply.
PAN and DOB are required for profile creation.
