Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing & Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement operations, manage client and supplier relationships, drive process improvements, and ensure effective governance, controls, compliance, and business performance.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Sourcing, Procurement Management, Supplier Management, Stakeholder Management, Category Management, Process Improvement, Program Management, People Management, Risk Management, and Procurement Operations.
Experience managing domestic and international suppliers and customers is required. Exposure to the Retail or Transportation & Logistics industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Procurement Management
Demonstrate strong understanding of Sourcing and Procurement processes.
Manage sourcing and procurement activities in alignment with client requirements and business objectives.
Support category teams with procurement-related activities, including spend consolidation, data analysis, purchase order review, and procurement administration.
Review procurement data and identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
Support effective supplier and procurement management across domestic and international markets.
Ensure procurement activities are aligned with established policies, processes, controls, and governance standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Liaise closely with clients to understand and meet delivery requirements.
Work with multiple client stakeholders to understand business requirements, demand forecasts, and forecasting models.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure the team understands and consistently applies client-specific business terminology, processes, and requirements.
Manage multiple stakeholder priorities and ensure appropriate alignment and execution.
Provide periodic status updates, project reports, issues, challenges, and action plans to customers and management.
Drive accountability, action items, aggressive schedules, and reporting across stakeholder groups.
Supplier & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers and customers.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure procurement requirements and delivery expectations are met.
Support supplier performance management and issue resolution.
Identify supplier-related risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensure supplier activities comply with contractual, operational, and governance requirements.
Support resolution of supplier issues and escalations in a timely manner.
Process Improvement & Business Impact
Drive process improvement initiatives across sourcing and procurement operations.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, cost, controls, and customer experience.
Measure and report business impact and improvements achieved through process initiatives.
Provide reports and analysis demonstrating operational improvements and business benefits.
Identify process gaps and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Governance, Controls & Compliance
Establish and maintain robust governance, controls, and compliance across procurement processes.
Initiate and implement appropriate process controls, quality plans, and risk mitigation programs.
Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, SOPs, contractual requirements, and applicable controls.
Identify potential operational and procurement risks.
Develop and implement effective risk mitigation plans.
Monitor control effectiveness and escalate significant risks or compliance issues.
Program & Project Management
Ensure effective overall program management and issue resolution.
Manage multiple projects, priorities, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously.
Drive action items, accountability, schedules, and reporting.
Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
People Management
Provide effective people management and team leadership.
Guide and support team members in delivering sourcing and procurement activities.
Ensure team members understand client requirements, business processes, and procurement terminology.
Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and provide regular procurement reports, operational dashboards, and management analysis.
Provide periodic status reports covering projects, deliverables, risks, issues, and challenges.
Analyze procurement data, spend information, and operational performance.
Support spend consolidation and procurement reporting activities.
Present business improvements, trends, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and management.
Required Skills
8–12 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or related procurement operations.
Strong understanding of Sourcing and Procurement processes.
Experience in a managerial or leadership role within Sourcing / Procurement.
Experience managing domestic and international suppliers and customers.
Strong stakeholder and client management experience.
Experience driving process improvements and measurable business impact.
Strong understanding of procurement governance, controls, compliance, and risk management.
Experience managing multiple stakeholder priorities and competing deadlines.
Industry Experience
Experience in any of the following areas is preferred:

Experience or exposure to the following systems is preferred:

Educational Qualification
Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).
Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field are preferred.

Other Requirements
Candidate must be willing to work in the night shift from 5:00 PM IST to 3:00 AM IST.
Experience managing international stakeholders is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholder priorities and deliver within stringent timelines.
Strong understanding of governance, controls, compliance, and risk mitigation.
