Payroll (RTR) Lead
Location: Chennai
Experience: 5–8 Years
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll (RTR) Lead with strong expertise in Finance & Accounting and Record-to-Report (RTR) processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle and review RTR activities including month-end close and balance sheet analysis.
Review complex accounting journals, including revenue recognition.
Manage payroll-related accounting and open-item resolution.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and daily operational reports.
Participate in month-end close meetings with the retained team.
Provide training and guidance to team members.
Drive continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives.
Interact with clients through governance calls and ensure effective communication.
Ensure SLA adherence and timely completion of deliverables.
Track budget expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
Maintain healthy vendor relationships and resolve operational issues.
Required Skills & Experience
5–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting – RTR activities.
Strong knowledge of core accounting, balance sheet, and month-end close.
Experience in complex accounting and accounting operations.
AR experience is required.
Working experience with ERP systems such as Oracle is preferred.
Experience in process improvement projects.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good customer service and listening skills.
Strong MS Office and PC proficiency.
Data entry and general mathematical skills.
Well-organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and effectively with stakeholders.
Work Requirements
100% Work From Office (WFO).
Willingness to work in night and rotational shifts.
Strong ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
