Senior Financial Reporting Analyst – IFRS & Regulatory Reporting
Pune (ID: 409118) / Delhi (ID: 409125) | 6 AM–4 PM IST | 8–12 Years Experience | Finance & Accounts
About the Role
Elevate financial transparency at the highest level. As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you’ll own the preparation of consolidated and standalone financial statements under IFRS, driving the integrity of numbers that shape boardroom decisions and satisfy demanding regulatory bodies. You’ll work on complex BFSI and insurance accounting, tackle IFRS 17 implementation, and prepare APRA regulatory returns—all while collaborating with auditors, business stakeholders, and senior leadership. This role offers you a seat at the table where strategy meets reporting, with the autonomy to streamline processes, mentor teams, and enhance control frameworks. If you’re a CA with deep IFRS expertise and a flair for translating technical detail into clear, actionable insight, your next career chapter starts here.
What You’ll Do
Financial Statement Preparation: Lead the end‑to‑end preparation of consolidated and standalone financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, notes, accounting policies) for parent, subsidiary, holding, and securitisation entities. Deliver board‑ready explanatory notes and management representation documents.
Regulatory & Compliance Reporting: Prepare APRA regulatory returns and support all audit requirements. Provide Directors’ Representation letters, MRDs, and related‑party transaction statements. Ensure compliance with IFRS (particularly IFRS 17), impairment testing of intangibles, inventory, and investments in controlled entities/associates.
Analytical Review & Flux Analysis: Conduct monthly flux analysis, prepare CFO reporting packs, and deliver analytical reviews that uncover trends and support decision‑making.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with business stakeholders across finance, operations, and treasury to gather data, resolve reporting issues, and drive accuracy. Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors, facilitating smooth audit cycles.
Process Improvement & Systems: Simplify and refine existing reporting processes. Implement approved recommendations, draft procedure manuals, and test new phases of returns. Utilise ERP platforms (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SmartView, Essbase) to extract and validate data.
Risk & Control: Identify and communicate reporting risks, implement controls to mitigate them, and maintain rigorous documentation standards.
What You’ll Bring
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA Final mandatory). A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Experience: 8–12 years in financial reporting, with a strong focus on BFSI and insurance accounting.
IFRS Mastery: Deep hands‑on experience with IFRS—ideally IFRS 17—including consolidation, impairment testing, and related‑party disclosures.
Regulatory Acumen: Proven track record of preparing APRA or equivalent regulatory returns for financial services entities.
Analytical & Communication Skills: Superior attention to detail, the ability to interpret complex data, and exceptional written/verbal communication to explain financial narratives to diverse audiences.
Stakeholder Management: Confident working with senior leadership, auditors, and cross‑functional teams; you influence without authority and thrive under tight deadlines.
Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in Oracle, PeopleSoft, SmartView, and Essbase is a distinct advantage; advanced Excel is a given.
Mindset: Process‑oriented, improvement‑focused, and disciplined about time management. You spot inefficiencies before they become problems and propose scalable solutions.
