Job Title : Senior Tax Accountant

Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Tax Accountant / Senior Process Associate in Hyderabad with 4–8 years of experience in US Sales & Use Tax, indirect tax compliance, tax accounting, and Oracle ERP. The role will be responsible for end-to-end multi-state sales and use tax compliance, tax accounting reconciliations, month-end close activities, tax provisions, audit support, exemption certificate management, and tax law research. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (AR, AP, GL) and preferably exposure to indirect tax engines such as Vertex, Avalara, or Thomson Reuters OneSource.

Key Responsibilities

Manage preparation, review, filing, and remittance of multi-state and local US Sales & Use Tax returns, including use tax self-assessments and liability reconciliations.
Handle month-end tax accounting, including accruals, journal entries, tax provisions, and tax sub-ledger to GL reconciliations within Oracle ERP.
Research US indirect tax laws, economic nexus requirements, marketplace facilitator rules, taxability regulations, and state tax developments and assess their business impact.
Support Sales & Use Tax audits, maintain tax exemption certificates, prepare audit documentation, and work with internal teams to mitigate tax compliance risks.
Work with Finance, IT, and Financial Systems teams to monitor Oracle ERP and tax engine transactions, troubleshoot tax calculation issues, and support system testing and process improvements.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Commerce, or a related field.
4–8 years of relevant experience in US Sales & Use Tax, indirect tax compliance, and tax accounting.
Hands-on Oracle ERP experience is mandatory; exposure to Vertex, Avalara, or Thomson Reuters OneSource is an added advantage.
CPA, CMA, CA, Master's in Taxation, or other relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
