Spanish Payroll Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a Spanish Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations for Spanish-speaking clients. You will process payroll, ensure compliance with Spanish tax and social security regulations, and handle employee payroll inquiries.


Must Have

2 to 4 years of experience with payroll systems, payroll processing, and/or HRIS platforms (ADP, Paychex, Deel, SAP, Workday, or similar preferred) – required


Fluency in Spanish – required


Good understanding of:


IRPF (Personal Income Tax)


Seguridad Social contributions


Statutory benefits


Collective bargaining agreements (Convenios)


Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data


Processing and reviewing/analysis of end-to-end payroll to completion


Maintain employment records and individually handle HR-related queries


Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills


Ability to manage deadlines in a demanding environment


Elevated level of professionalism and confidentiality


Strong written and verbal communication skills


Good to Have

Multicountry Payroll exposure (US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc.)


Responsibilities

Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees according to client's pay calendar/pay schedule


Review and validate timekeeping records, payroll adjustments, and employee changes


Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and taxes


Maintain payroll records in compliance with required statutory and country/site regulations


Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner


Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, benefits, and employee updates
