Job Title: Tax Accounting – Senior Process Associate

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accounting – Senior Process Associate with strong expertise in US Sales & Use Tax, tax accounting, compliance, and Oracle ERP. The role involves managing multi-state tax compliance, tax reconciliations, month-end close activities, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual US Sales & Use Tax returns.
Handle use tax self-assessments and identify unpaid tax liabilities.
Perform tax accruals, journal entries, and tax account reconciliations.
Reconcile tax sub-ledger and General Ledger (GL) within Oracle ERP.
Research changes in US tax laws, economic nexus rules, and marketplace facilitator regulations.
Maintain taxability and state tax matrices.
Support Sales & Use Tax audits and maintain audit documentation.
Manage Tax Exemption Certificates and ensure compliance.
Monitor Oracle ERP tax transactions and troubleshoot tax calculation issues.
Work with IT/Finance Systems teams on tax engine integrations and system testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of experience in Sales & Use Tax compliance and tax accounting.
Strong knowledge of US indirect tax laws and tax accounting.
Hands-on Oracle ERP experience is mandatory, preferably AR, AP, and GL modules.
Experience with tax engines such as Vertex, Avalara, or Thomson Reuters OneSource is preferred.
Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
CPA, CMA, CA, or Master’s in Taxation is an added advantage.
