Legal Operations Specialist – US Client Support
Location: Bangalore, India | Work Setup: Onsite | Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM OR 6:30 PM – 4:30 AM IST, as per client
Job Type: Full-time | Band: BPO 3/4 | Experience: 5–10 Years

Role Overview
Support US-based legal teams with critical legal operations. Own legal holds, counsel engagement letters, and settlement check requests. Ensure compliance with US litigation, eDiscovery, and settlement standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Holds: Draft and issue legal hold notices per US litigation & eDiscovery requirements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel for timely implementation. Track and maintain legal hold acknowledgment records
- Engagement Letters: Prepare/review engagement letters for external counsel per US legal/ethical standards. Ensure accuracy of scope, fee arrangements, and policy compliance. Liaise for approvals and execution
- Settlement Check Requests: Prepare settlement payment documentation per US agreements. Coordinate with Finance for timely processing and tracking. Maintain logs and reports for audit/compliance
Required Skills & Experience
- Domain: Strong knowledge of US litigation procedures, FRCP, and eDiscovery obligations. Familiarity with contract law, engagement terms, and settlement processes
- Experience: LL.B or equivalent Law degree. 5–10 years in litigation support, corporate legal ops, or law firm environment handling US matters. [JD notes 3–5 yrs exposure to legal holds/engagements/settlements]
- Skills: Excellent legal drafting & communication, Proficiency in MS Office and legal document management systems, Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience with eDiscovery platforms: Relativity, Exterro. Familiarity with compliance tools and workflow management systems.
Certifications – Preferred
ACEDS – Certified eDiscovery Specialist, IAPP Privacy Certification or similar compliance certifications
