Immediate opportunities for a Resource Manager to join the team and manage a team of resources for CE and EDE projects. We are seeking qualified candidates for this position, which offers a chance to work closely with MS project managers and utilize technical knowledge of MS Technologies like Windows Server, AD, SharePoint, Service Center, etc. If you have previous experience handling technical teams and are familiar with resource management processes, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
As a Resource Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assigning available employees to projects based on their skillsets, previous experience, and availability.
- Monitoring day-to-day project activities and corresponding resourcing.
- Conducting capacity planning to ensure the company's resources can effectively handle upcoming projects.
- Monitoring and managing employees' workload, utilization, and overtime hours.
- Managing resource conflicts and resolving shortages by reallocating resources or assigning additional staff.
- Collaborating with MS project managers to address resource management issues and improve processes.
- Planning resourcing based on current and upcoming projects and business development activities.
- Collaborating with the HR department on staff training, compensation, payroll administration, and hiring.
- Staying up to date with labor laws and resource management trends.
- Documenting processes such as weekly utilization reports.
- Managing operational tasks and escalation of core services.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, project management, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in resource management, project management, or a similar role.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and other resource management tools and software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of labor laws and best practices in resource management.
- Experience in managing cross-functional and remote teams.
- A certification in resource management, such as PMI-RMP or CSM, is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Strong client handling skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Networking knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with Windows Server is a plus.
- Experience with VMWare is a plus.
- Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) is a plus.
