About the Role
Use your bilingual skills to make a real impact. We are hiring calm, precise Interpretation Support Associates to deliver live, over-the-phone consecutive interpretation between US healthcare professionals and Cantonese-speaking patients. Every call bridges critical care—from medical consultations to insurance and emergency conversations. This is a fully remote, permanent night-shift role (9:00 PM–6:00 AM / 10:00 PM–7:00 AM, Mon–Fri, weekends off) on a 6+12-month renewable contract. What You’ll Do
- Provide real-time, meaning-for-meaning consecutive interpretation (English–Cantonese) in healthcare contexts: doctor-patient talks, medical staff, insurance, emergency, and financial calls.

- Maintain a first-person style—never add, omit, or change the speaker’s message.

- Stay calm and professional, even on urgent or emotionally sensitive calls.

- Follow all interpreter protocols, confidentiality, and ethics; remain neutral; never give personal opinions.

- Build healthcare, medical, and insurance terminology knowledge.

- Attend mandatory training, QA reviews, and coaching; continuously improve.

- Keep reliable attendance and schedule adherence in a quiet, private home workspace.

- Uphold strict privacy, data protection, and confidentiality.

What You’ll Bring
- Language: Strong Cantonese fluency, advanced English (B2+/C1). Excellent speaking, listening, reading, comprehension; clear pronunciation; cultural and accent adaptability. Mandarin a plus.

- Interpretation: Sharp memory and attention to detail; meaning-for-meaning accuracy; quick adaptability to varied call types.

- Professional traits: Calm, ethical, neutral; strong judgement within protocols; resilience for sensitive/emergency calls; self-discipline for remote night-shift work.

Qualifications
- Education: High School/SPM, Diploma, or Degree.

- 0–5 years’ experience. Freshers with outstanding language skills welcome.

- Preferred backgrounds: interpretation, translation, healthcare, customer service, contact centre, BPO, media, journalism.

- Fluent in Cantonese and English; comfortable with permanent night shift; capable of working from home with stable internet and a quiet, private setup.

Compensation & Benefits
- Basic: RM 4,000 – RM 4,500 (negotiable to RM 5,000 based on experience).

- Wi-Fi Allowance: RM 150/month. Night Shift Allowance: RM 25/night (~RM 550/month).

- Performance incentive. **Total all-inclusive monthly: RM 5,000+.**
