Data Engineer – SSRS / MSSQL

Job Summary

We are hiring a Data Engineer – SSRS / MSSQL with strong experience in SSRS, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS. The role focuses on reporting development, SQL/ETL processes, system integration, automation, and production support.

Candidates with banking or financial services experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SSRS reports, including paginated and parameterised reports.
• Manage report subscriptions, scheduling, datasets, and data sources.
• Develop and optimise T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot SSIS/ETL packages.
• Support SQL Server Agent jobs, scheduled processes, and batch operations.
• Troubleshoot reporting, SQL, ETL, and production issues.
• Support system integrations, data mapping, reconciliation, and file-based interfaces.
• Handle SFTP/SSH file transfers and PGP/GPG encryption/decryption.
• Develop automation using PowerShell and Python.
• Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and timely delivery of business/regulatory reports.
• Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver reporting solutions.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• Strong hands-on SSRS development experience.
• Advanced T-SQL and SQL query optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of SSIS and ETL.
• Experience with SQL Server Agent.
• Experience with stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Production reporting/support experience.
• Knowledge of SFTP/SSH, PGP/GPG, PowerShell, and Python.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
