Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Apigee Developer to design, develop, support, and manage API solutions using Google Cloud Apigee. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in API proxy development, API security, platform maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

You will collaborate with engineering, support, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and support solutions using Apigee Edge and API Gateway.
Develop and maintain API proxies, patches, bug fixes, and platform features.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, bugs, and feature requests.
Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of platform data components, including Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, and PostgreSQL.
Plan and execute upgrades and updates to platform components and third-party libraries.
Provide L2 engineering support for Apigee Edge data components.
Troubleshoot Apigee Edge and OPDK services in collaboration with global support teams.
Manage cloud and OPDK product releases and coordinate platform deployments.
Support development, operations, and maintenance of Monetization platforms.
Provide database tuning and PostgreSQL support.
Build tools and services to improve platform capabilities and reduce technical debt.
Support auxiliary components such as Edge Microgateway and Extensions.
Perform knowledge transfer and contribute to technical documentation.
Respond to product-related technical queries and provide effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 2 years of professional Apigee development experience in an IT environment.
Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge and API Gateway management.
Proficiency in RESTful API design, Node.js, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of API security protocols and access control mechanisms.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or other platform data components is an advantage.
Apigee certification or Google Cloud API Management specialization is preferred.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, or service mesh is an advantage.

Eligibility

Applicants must currently be based in the Philippines and have the legal right to live and work in the country.
Must be willing to work daily onsite in BGC, Taguig.
Must be amenable to a shifting schedule.
