About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Apigee Developer to design, develop, support, and manage API solutions using Google Cloud’s Apigee platform. The role involves API proxy development, security implementation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and cloud-based API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop software solutions using Apigee Edge.
Develop and maintain API proxies, features, patches, and bug fixes.
Provide engineering support and maintenance for Apigee Edge and OPDK environments.
Troubleshoot customer issues, bugs, and service-related problems.
Manage API Gateway operations, releases, upgrades, and platform updates.
Perform L2 engineering support for data components.
Support and maintain components including Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, and PostgreSQL.
Perform PostgreSQL database tuning and support.
Manage development, support, and operations for Monetization platforms.
Work with release and provisioning teams to deploy platform updates.
Support Edge Microgateway and Extensions.
Build tools and services and contribute to reducing technical debt.
Collaborate with cross-functional and global support teams.
Provide technical support and respond to product-related queries.
Perform knowledge transfer and support platform upgrades.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of professional Apigee experience.
Strong experience with Apigee Edge and API Gateway management.
Proficiency in RESTful API design, Node.js, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of API security protocols and access-control mechanisms.
Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work daily onsite in BGC, Taguig with a shifting schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Apigee certification or Google Cloud API Management specialization.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of microservices architecture and service mesh.
Eligibility
Candidates must currently be based in the Philippines and have the legal right to live and work in the country.
Must not have an active or recent application with the client.
