Job Overview

We are hiring a Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform. The role involves designing scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, performance optimization, and data quality across modern data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark and Databricks.

• Build batch and streaming data workflows.

• Implement ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into curated datasets.

• Optimize SQL queries for speed and efficiency.

• Design Snowflake schemas and create fact and dimension tables.

• Implement data access controls and permissions using Unity Catalog.

• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Document data processes and workflows.

• Participate actively in team discussions and technical initiatives.

• Stay updated with data engineering technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.

• Expert proficiency in Databricks and Apache Spark.

• Strong knowledge of data pipeline architecture and implementation.

• Experience with data integration and transformation techniques.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing.

• Experience with SQL optimization, Snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables.

• Knowledge of Unity Catalog, data access controls, and permissions.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to optimize data workflows for scalability and performance.

Important Information

• Onsite work in Manila is mandatory.
