Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Engineer specializing in enterprise physical security systems, with strong expertise in Lenel OnGuard and working knowledge of Genetec Security Center. The role involves deploying, upgrading, maintaining, and modernizing physical security applications while supporting the transition toward an integrated OnGuard/Genetec environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with access control, video management, alarm monitoring, visitor management, application integrations, and enterprise system administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot Lenel OnGuard and related physical security applications.
• Support the transition toward Genetec Security Center and maintain hybrid OnGuard/Genetec environments.
• Configure and support application servers, databases, clients, services, and third-party integrations.
• Manage access control, alarm monitoring, video management, badge management, and visitor workflows.
• Perform system health checks, log reviews, root-cause analysis, and application troubleshooting.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, upgrade procedures, migration plans, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with security operations, IT infrastructure, database, networking, cybersecurity, and vendor teams.
• Support application integrations with HR, identity management, reporting, access-control hardware, and other enterprise systems.
• Assist with SQL Server performance optimization, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Ensure system availability, scalability, cybersecurity compliance, and operational continuity.
• Identify opportunities for application rationalization, process improvement, and platform modernization.
• Lead or support global deployments, upgrades, stabilization, and migration activities.

Technical Skills Required

Lenel OnGuard

• Strong knowledge of OnGuard architecture, including Communication Server, Application Server, SQL Database, OpenAccess API, and DataConduIT.
• Experience with OnGuard Version 8.2 or later, system administration, upgrades, and enterprise deployments.
• Knowledge of access levels, cardholders, badge types, permission groups, alarm priorities, event-to-action rules, and graphical maps.
• Ability to troubleshoot application services, panels, controllers, databases, clients, and integrations.

Genetec Security Center

• Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center architecture and administration.
• Familiarity with Synergis access control and Omnicast video management.
• Understanding of Mission Control, ClearID, Data Exporter, and Operations Center.
• Exposure to AutoVu license plate recognition and Sipelia communications/intercom solutions.
• Familiarity with Security Desk, web clients, mobile clients, and integrated security workflows.

Database, Operating Systems & Networking

• Microsoft SQL Server administration, query analysis, backup and restore, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
• Windows Server administration, IIS, Active Directory, service accounts, certificates, patching, and deployment management.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and network segmentation.
• Understanding of secure communications, including TLS 1.2 or higher.

Integration & Reporting

• Experience with DataConduIT and/or OpenAccess API integrations.
• Integration experience involving badge printers, biometric devices, access-control hardware, alarm panels, and related security devices.
• Familiarity with identity and access-control solutions such as HID, AlertEnterprise, and other enterprise security integrations.
• Exposure to Power BI, reporting solutions, data feeds, and integration planning during platform migrations.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid hosting environments, including Azure, is an advantage.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in IT application engineering, enterprise application administration, or physical security systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Lenel OnGuard.
• Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center or demonstrated ability to support its implementation and adoption.
• Experience supporting enterprise physical security environments involving access control, video management, alarms, visitor workflows, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with global teams and manage technical deployments, upgrades, and migration activities.
• Willingness to work on a hybrid setup in Makati during the night shift.

Preferred Certifications

• Lenel Certified Professional (LCP) or Lenel Certified Expert (LCE).
• Genetec Security Center certification or demonstrated hands-on experience.
• Experience with Azure or other enterprise cloud/hybrid environments.
