Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Python Programmer / Developer to support data extraction, consolidation, cleansing, and processing activities for Deutsche Bank. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Python development experience, working knowledge of Tableau, and the ability to transform raw data into accurate, consistent, and usable datasets for reporting and analysis.

Candidates with knowledge of banking operations and financial risk management will be preferred. The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Python Development & Data Processing

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Python scripts and programs for data extraction, consolidation, cleansing, and transformation.

• Extract data from multiple sources and combine it into structured, reliable datasets.

• Identify and resolve data-quality issues, including duplicates, missing values, inconsistencies, and formatting errors.

• Automate repetitive data-processing tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Troubleshoot programming issues and implement efficient, scalable solutions.

• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Tableau & Data Reporting

• Support data visualization and reporting activities using Tableau.

• Prepare and structure datasets for reporting, analysis, and dashboard development.

• Collaborate with reporting and business teams to understand data requirements.

• Assist in identifying data trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve reporting quality.

Banking & Financial Risk Support

• Support data-related activities within the banking and financial services environment.

• Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and reporting needs.

• Apply relevant banking and financial risk management knowledge when processing and analyzing data, where applicable.

• Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and appropriate handling of sensitive financial information.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, reporting teams, and other stakeholders.

• Analyze technical and business problems and recommend practical solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve data-processing workflows and programming efficiency.

• Communicate progress, technical issues, and project dependencies effectively.

• Contribute to team objectives and deliver assigned work within agreed timelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in programming or software development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python.

• Experience in data extraction, data consolidation, data cleansing, and transformation.

• Working knowledge of Tableau.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to develop efficient, maintainable, and reliable solutions.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Willingness to work onsite daily in Taguig, Philippines.

• Availability to work the 11:00 AM–8:00 PM shift.

• Immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.

Knowledge of financial risk management and immediate availability will be advantageous.
