Senior Azure Data Engineer

Location: Taguig City (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Schedule: Mid to Night Shift

Category: Software Development / Engineering

Salary Range: PHP 90,000 – 120,000

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our Digitalization & Automation Services Team. The successful candidate will work closely with our development and delivery teams to design, build, and maintain cloud-based data solutions using Azure technologies — with a strong focus on Databricks and PySpark.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement storage solutions using Azure SQL and Azure Data Lake Storage

Develop ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF) to move and transform data from multiple sources

Build and optimize business solutions using Azure Databricks

Align with DevOps strategies to deploy and promote code into production

Create reusable Databricks components and optimize delivery workflows

Translate business requirements into clear, scalable technical implementation plans

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years as an Azure Data Engineer

Core Expertise:

Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in both Databricks and PySpark

Strong knowledge of Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault

Experience in migration and modernization projects

Skilled in building data pipelines using Python, PySpark, Scala, and SQL

Knowledge of Autosys, batch scripts, and Agile methodologies

Familiar with Azure DevOps (CI/CD), Kafka, Solace queue, Azure Stream Analytics, Power BI, and Azure App Services

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Setup

Hybrid: Onsite 2–3 days per week (McKinley, Taguig)

Shift: Late mid-shift to night-shift schedule

Must be amenable to working onsite as required
