Job Overview

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineering / Custom Software Engineer (CL9)
Work Setup: Onsite (Manila / Taguig)
Work Shift: Shifting Schedule
Location Eligibility: Open to candidates currently in the Philippines with full legal right to live and work in the country.

Position Overview

As a Custom Software Engineer / SRE, you will design, code, and enhance system components to deliver scalable, high-performing software solutions tailored to business needs. In this role, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading technical decisions, mentoring team members, and building robust systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps/Custom Software Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Architecture

Design, develop, test, and refine tailored software solutions using modern frameworks and agile practices.
Analyze complex system architectures to implement solutions that enhance application availability and scalability.
Utilize automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline operational workflows and eliminate manual toil.

Reliability & Technical Leadership

Perform proactive performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning to maintain continuous system reliability.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and system architecture reviews.
Serve as an SME across multiple cross-functional engineering teams to drive key architectural decisions.
Mentor and guide junior team members to foster technical growth and elevate team standards.
Continuously evaluate and optimize processes to maximize efficiency and delivery quality.

Required Technical & Professional Skills

Primary Expertise: Expert proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
Core Competencies:
- System Architecture, Observability/Monitoring, and Incident Response.
- Automation Tools & Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Performance Tuning, Load Testing, and Capacity Planning.
Leadership Skills: Problem-solving, Cross-team Collaboration, Agile Methodology, Mentorship.
