Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), cloud computing, DevOps, containerization, and application support.

The role will focus on identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across multiple components of critical business systems while ensuring system availability, stability, and smooth operations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working as a subject matter expert, collaborating with multiple teams, performing root cause analysis, and providing effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Application & Cloud Support

Provide application and cloud support for critical business systems.
Identify, investigate, and resolve issues across multiple application and infrastructure components.
Ensure smooth and reliable functioning of supported systems.
Monitor application behavior, system performance, and operational issues.
Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify potential problems.
Perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.

Google Kubernetes Engine

Provide expert-level technical support for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environments.
Troubleshoot workloads and application issues running on Kubernetes/GKE.
Support containerized applications and orchestration environments.
Investigate deployment, availability, connectivity, and performance-related issues.
Work with cloud and DevOps teams to resolve complex technical problems.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GKE and application support.
Collaborate with multiple technical and cross-functional teams.
Contribute to key technical and operational decisions.
Provide solutions to issues affecting the immediate team and other teams.
Communicate technical issues, findings, and recommended solutions clearly to stakeholders.
Support team members in troubleshooting and resolving complex incidents.

Incident Management & Continuous Improvement

Investigate application and system incidents and identify underlying causes.
Implement corrective and preventive solutions.
Support service stability and operational excellence.
Follow application support best practices and established processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and technical solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Strong understanding of application support principles and best practices.
Expert proficiency in Google Kubernetes Engine.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and technologies.
Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
Ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
Willingness to work onsite in Manila/Taguig.
Willingness to work on a shifting schedule.

Eligibility
