CUSTOM SOFTWARE ENGINEER – IBM Db2 & Natural

Work Setup: Onsite – Manila

Work Shift: Shifting Schedule

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Db2

About the Role

Are you an experienced Custom Software Engineer with strong expertise in IBM Db2 and Natural?

We are looking for a highly skilled technology professional who can design, develop, enhance, and optimize custom software solutions while working closely with multiple teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who is ready to take ownership, provide technical direction, and contribute to high-impact technology initiatives.

You will work with modern development practices and agile methodologies to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in software development and database technologies.

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain custom software solutions across systems and applications.

- Collaborate with team members and multiple stakeholders to drive successful project delivery.

- Provide technical solutions to complex issues affecting the immediate team and other teams.

- Participate in important technical and project-related decisions.

- Support team performance through technical guidance, collaboration, and effective problem-solving.

- Facilitate knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous learning within the team.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement development best practices.

- Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery activities.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure efficient, high-quality solutions.

- Apply agile practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Technical Skills

Must-Have:

- Expert-level proficiency in IBM Db2

- Strong proficiency in Natural

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Db2

- Strong understanding of database design and optimization

- Solid experience with SQL and performance tuning

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

- Understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile
