JOB TITLE: CUSTOM SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Work Setup: Onsite – Manila

We are looking for an experienced Custom Software Engineer with strong expertise in IBM z/OS Systems Administration.
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and optimizing custom software solutions across systems and applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to key technical decisions, and deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that meet business requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in IBM z/OS Systems Administration.
- Collaborate with and help manage the team to achieve project objectives.
- Take responsibility for team-level decisions and technical problem-solving.
- Work with multiple teams and contribute to key project decisions.
- Provide solutions to technical challenges across immediate and cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentor team members.
- Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Implement best practices in software development and systems administration.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing systems to improve performance and reliability.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IBM z/OS Systems Administration.
- Expert proficiency in IBM z/OS Systems Administration.
- Strong experience in system performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with mainframe programming languages, including COBOL and JCL.
- Familiarity with database management systems and data storage solutions.
- Knowledge of security protocols and systems administration best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills.
