Data Engineer – Snowflake

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Snowflake Lead to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions. The role will focus on Snowflake architecture, data ingestion, transformation, ELT pipelines, data governance, performance optimization, and emerging GenAI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake solutions across data ingestion, storage, transformation, and access.
Implement end-to-end data solutions using Snowflake's latest capabilities.
Develop reusable frameworks, UDFs, and components using Snowpark and SQL scripting.
Build performance-optimized data pipelines using Snowflake-native capabilities and modern ELT tools.
Implement data governance, security models, RBAC, and masking policies.
Conduct performance tuning, workload monitoring, clustering, and optimization.
Implement Snowflake Cortex AI features and enable GenAI use cases through custom workflows and business logic.
Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Ensure data quality, security, compliance, and reliability across data platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Snowflake Lead or Data Engineer.
Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture and internals.
Hands-on experience with performance tuning, clustering, caching, and workload optimization.
Strong SQL and Snowflake scripting skills.
Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of advanced Snowflake features such as:
- Dynamic Tables
- Snowpipe / Snowpipe Streaming
- Snowflake Cortex AI
- Snowpark
Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data governance, and security.
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions.
SnowPro Core Certification required/preferred as applicable.
