We are urgently looking for a Japanese Bilingual Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance and Accounting Shared Services team in BGC, Taguig.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes for Japanese operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, payment execution, and issue resolution while maintaining strong relationships with Japan-based stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Process high volumes of vendor invoices and employee expense reports accurately within the company's ERP system. Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices to ensure payment accuracy. Prepare and execute weekly and monthly payment runs in accordance with company policies and vendor terms. Support month-end closing activities, including AP accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and local tax regulations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for Japan-based vendors regarding payment concerns, invoice discrepancies, and account balances. Investigate and resolve billing issues by collaborating with procurement and receiving teams. Translate AP-related documents, communications, and process guidelines between Japanese and English as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 1 to 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or General Accounting. Must possess business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. JLPT N1 or N2 certification is preferred, while strong N3 candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms is required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience working in Shared Services or BPO environments is an advantage.
