About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP CPI & APIM Developer to join our enterprise integration team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite) and SAP API Management (APIM), with hands-on experience designing, developing, securing, and optimizing cloud-based integrations and APIs.

This role involves building scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations across SAP and non-SAP applications while adhering to SAP Clean Core principles, API-first architecture, and event-driven integration patterns.

Key Responsibilities

SAP CPI / Integration Development

Design, develop, and implement integration flows using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite).
Build resilient and scalable integration solutions with robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring capabilities.
Develop integrations across SAP and third-party applications using REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, SFTP, JSON, XML, and XSLT.
Apply SAP Clean Core principles and extensibility best practices.

API Management

Design and manage API proxies, API products, and policies in SAP API Management (APIM).
Implement advanced API policies including throttling, quotas, authentication, security, and traffic management.
Apply API-first design principles to improve reusability and scalability.

Development & Automation

Develop Groovy and JavaScript scripts for transformations, validations, and custom integration logic.
Implement event-driven integration scenarios using SAP Event Mesh.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance and availability.
Collaborate with solution architects, functional teams, and developers to ensure cloud-compliant and scalable solutions.

Security & Governance

Implement secure integrations using OAuth 2.0, SAML, SSL, JWT, API Keys, and Certificates.
Ensure compliance with enterprise integration and security standards.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

5–8 years of experience in SAP CPI and SAP API Management.
Strong hands-on experience in SAP Integration Suite / SAP CPI.
Proven experience developing and managing APIs using SAP APIM.
Experience with event-driven integration using SAP Event Mesh.
Experience with cloud integration architectures and enterprise application integration.
