JOB PURPOSE:

The SAP Sales and Distribution & Transportation Management (SD & TM) Consultant will work with business stakeholders to define requirements through research and fact-finding, and will develop or modify moderately complex design, ensuring changes do not impact existing system functionality. He/she will

provide support and enhancements to existing functionality within the various system environments which may include design and implementation of new functionality. This also includes interacting with end-users to understand requirements, prototyping, functional specification development, data mapping and setting of configuration tables, documenting configuration and end-user procedures, and conducting end-user training. His/Her major responsibilities are working on support incidents, change requests and approved prioritized enhancements. He/She should follow existing change management procedures. He/She should inform his/her manager through periodic status reports detailing the progress of all on-going projects. He/She is responsible for completing assignments in an accurate, timely and prioritized basis. He/She is capable to accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and schedules work accordingly.

For SAP SD/TM projects and implementations, he/she participates in and is responsible for driving and coordinating the collection of business requirements from the end-user community. He/She identifies solutions that meet these needs and will also identify potential issues delivering on business requirements, bringing those issues to the attention of their supervisor and driving to resolution. He/She works with IT and end-users to map new business processes on the SAP system. He/She leads in the definition of the new processes and develops prototypes in a test environment to simulate the new process to produce a functional system which is consistent with the requirements specified by the client. He/She is responsible for developing test scenarios and subsequent implementation of test plans, documenting test results. He/She develops functional specifications and assists programmers with testing the functionality of program. He/She is responsible for ensuring that successfully tested changes are transferred to the production environment following the appropriate transfer process. He/She ensures results obtained satisfy client requirements and that the new business processes operate effectively and efficiently in the integrated system environment. He/She obtains written approval from the client that the change is completed to their satisfaction. He/She is responsible for preparing and maintaining required documentation, including, but not limited to configuration documentation, business procedures, and training documentation. He/She is

responsible for undertaking small integration projects that cross functional areas. He/She participates in medium to large projects that cross functional areas in roles relating to configuration of defined requirements and testing.  

For SAP SD/TM Application Support, He/She is capable of troubleshooting issues and provides appropriate resolutions on the production environment. He/She is handling user inquiries and answering how-to questions. He/She is responsible for completing routine and maintenance requests. He/She tracks, resolves

and closes service tickets per agreed service level agreements.

SCOPE OF WORK

Identify business needs, systems and requirements 

 Leads in identifying business needs and system requirements

 Leads in the in-depth analysis of the business requirements and systems specifications

 Conduct feasibility studies on proposed solutions

 Provide analysis to support the development of business cases

 Support the preparation of proposals for modified or replacement systems

 Conduct analysis on the risks and benefits for the proposed solutions

Analyse systems and propose solutions 

 Analyse systems and processes to identify enhancement opportunities to resolve system gaps

 Evaluate the ability of an existing system to support proposed changes and identify systems deficiencies and performance gaps

 Ensure proposed solutions and/or enhancements are aligned with user needs and requirements

 Identify and conduct feasibility analysis of proposed solutions and/or enhancements to systems

 Prepare proposals for proposed solutions and/or enhancements to systems

Design process model and authorization

 Document the new process and steps in the company’s modelling tool in accordance to the approved solution.

 Coordinate the required authorizations to the SAP Authorization and ABAP Team

Configure the system

 Document configuration in accordance to the approved solution

 Configure the SAP SD/TM system as documented

 Manage the transport request for the configuration

 Peer reviews configurations and transports of other team members 

Develop functional specifications

 Leads in translating business requirements into functional specifications

 Document specifications and interfaces between legacy and new systems, and systems enhancements and detailed specifications

Manage the implementation of new solutions and/or enhancements

 Act as the liaison between users and SAP ABAP Team throughout the solution implementation cycle

 Develop test plans and test cases

 Support users on change control and systems updates and escalate issues to relevant team members for resolution

 Document post-test evidence of expected results or defects

 Coordinate training for new users

 Prepare progress reports and training documents

 Develop technical documentation of the design documents, coding documents and user manuals

 Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and integration testing in accordance with the implementation plan

 Ensure adherence to the project plan to ensure deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with user and system requirements

Support on the activities and Computer System Validation documentation deliverables

 Assist on CSV ES/ER Risk Assessment and Functional Risk Assessment

 Create User Requirement Specification

 Create Data Migration Plan and Report

 Create Traceability Matrix and User Training Records

 Create SOPs for operational and retirement phases

Supports production incidents and requests

 Actively address the open incidents in the SAP SD/TM Support queue and ensure detailed updates, follow-up and resolution and closure as per agreed service level agreement.

 Assist business users on inquiries regarding the execution of order to cash and transportation processes.

 Complete routine and maintenance requests as per agreed service level agreement 

Improves and optimize current process and solutions 

 Analyse and Identify opportunities that could improve process, system performance and cost efficiencies.

 Prepare proposals for process improvements and optimizations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Has experience with OTC integration or any integration with 3rd Party vendor (e.g. non-SAP application that creates/updates sales order that interfaces with SAP)

• Has experience in APIs / Odata / Webservices / BAPIs

• Has end-to-end Implementation experience

• Has experience in handling IDocs

• Familiar with Postman and processing XML/JSON files

• Strong collaboration skills with multiple stakeholders (Regional Operations, Regional IT, Business Units) – from end users up to management level

(experience necessary)

 Experience in independent solution development and implementation (related to the respective domain area), with self-confidence in discussions and arguments with decision authorities

 Business-fluent English knowledge, in general and specific to the functional area on hand

 Having been a Product Team Member (PTM) with correspondingly deep functional and technical experience in a related domain (as Engineer, Specialist, Consultant etc.)

DOMAIN / PRODUCT-SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Minimum of 10 years of experience on SAP to support the following product teams:

SAP OTC Core & Transportation

 10 years of experience as SAP Sales & Distribution and LE - Transportation consultant having strong familiarity with the end-to-end process from order to cash up to transportation/dispatch:

o sales order management

 ABAP skills for functional is an advantage

 Familiarity on SD integration with other modules MM, FI or EWM

 has at least 2 SAP full cycle SAP implementations/roll-out experience, and troubleshooting skills for production support

 analytical, resourceful and can drive requirements gathering, process and solution presentation and discussion with regional teams and business stakeholders

 knowledge on Agile methodology is an advantage but not required

SAP OTC Digital Solutions

 10 years of experience in SAP Sales & Distribution with strong techno-functional skill and exposure on ABAP debugging, Odata, middleware/interfaces, Webservice (SPROXY, SOAP)
