Are you a legal professional with experience in AI, software, technology, SaaS, and commercial legal matters?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global technology-focused legal team supporting the growth and commercialization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data offerings.

As a Strategic Growth Initiatives Counsel – Associate Manager, you will provide practical legal guidance as new technology services and products are assessed, developed, and prepared for market. You will work closely with business leaders, legal specialists, contracting teams, and other global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Support the AI & Data business by assessing new services and product offerings and providing product counsel as offerings move toward commercialization.
Develop subject-matter expertise in AI and Data and serve as a key legal contact for business and asset teams.
Collaborate with legal teams covering Resale, Strategic Partnering, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Regulatory, and Contracting.
Support Contracting teams as a product counsel and subject-matter expert on playbooks, templates, and selected deal support.
Assist legal and business teams with the evaluation of prospective AI & Data acquisition targets.
Conduct legal research relating to emerging technologies and relevant regulatory developments.
Support the development and improvement of legal processes, tools, guidance materials, workplans, and leadership presentations.
Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments involving LLMs, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Data.
Help transform complex legal and technology issues into practical guidance for business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent graduate law degree.
Admission in good standing with the applicable bar association or local equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate or law firm environment.
Relevant experience advising on AI, software, technology, or other non-transactional legal matters.
Knowledge of SaaS, software licensing, and AI-related contract structures.
Ability and willingness to learn applicable AI, Data, technology, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong understanding of commercial and business considerations.
Ability to work with US time zones.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
