Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with a strong engineering background and the ability to design integrated technology solutions across cloud platforms, infrastructure, automation, software delivery, and enterprise systems.

The role will provide architectural leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from technical discovery and design through implementation and production readiness. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, DevOps, cloud, security, and operations teams to establish technical direction and ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business priorities.

Candidates with transferable technical experience across different cloud providers, automation technologies, programming languages, and engineering platforms are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture and Technical Design

• Design cloud-enabled and enterprise technology solutions that meet business and operational requirements.

• Develop solution blueprints, reference architectures, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.

• Assess cloud, platform, infrastructure, and application architecture options.

• Evaluate technical tradeoffs involving security, scalability, availability, cost, performance, and maintainability.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions, design reviews, proofs of concept, and architecture assessments.

Engineering and DevOps Collaboration

• Work with software, infrastructure, cloud, and platform engineers to translate architectural designs into implementable solutions.

• Guide teams on source control, CI/CD practices, automation, and modern software delivery approaches.

• Apply knowledge of GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, or comparable engineering platforms.

• Support integration design using REST APIs, JSON, YAML, and related technologies.

• Leverage programming and scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Go, C, or similar languages to evaluate technical feasibility.

• Promote reusable components, automation, standardisation, and engineering best practices.

Security and Operational Readiness

• Incorporate security, identity, access management, resilience, and observability into solution designs.

• Assess production support requirements, monitoring, incident response, and lifecycle management.

• Identify operational risks, technical dependencies, and potential failure points.

• Ensure architecture decisions support reliable deployment, maintainability, and ongoing operations.

• Collaborate with security and operations teams to address risks and support production readiness.

Stakeholder and Delivery Management

• Explain architecture decisions and technical recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Align engineering teams around approved designs and implementation priorities.

• Manage dependencies and resolve architecture-related challenges during delivery.

• Maintain architecture documentation and communicate changes to relevant teams.

• Support Agile, SAFe, DevOps, and cross-functional delivery initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, software development, infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, automation, database engineering, or related disciplines.

• Experience designing or guiding complex technical solutions.

• Strong understanding of cloud services, application architecture, systems integration, and automation.

• Hands-on engineering experience that enables credible technical discussions with delivery teams.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, APIs, scripting, and deployment practices.

• Knowledge of security, reliability, scalability, monitoring, and production operations.

• Ability to assess technical alternatives and develop practical implementation strategies.

• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Technical Exposure

• Public or private cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure services.

• GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.

• Python, PowerShell, Go, C, or similar programming and scripting languages.

• REST APIs, JSON, YAML, and integration frameworks.

• Automation, observability, identity management, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
