Overall Responsibilities:
Information Security Manager is responsible for developing and managing Information Systems cyber security, including disaster recovery and database protection. Manages IS security analysts to ensure that all applications are functional and secure. Being an Information Security Manager develops and delivers IS security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise. Implements procedures and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards. Additionally, Information Security Manager migrates non-compliant environments to compliant environments. Evaluates the organization to ensure compliance with standards and relevance with industry security norms. Typically reports to a director. The Information Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
Role Responsibilities:
Monitor the Corporation’s compliance with the Data Privacy act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and National Privacy Commission (“NPC”) issuances (collectively, “Privacy Laws”). For this purpose, the DPO can:
Collect information to identify the processing operations, activities, measures, projects, programs, or systems of the PIC or PIP, and maintain a record thereof;
Analyze and check the compliance of processing activities, including the issuance of security clearances to and compliance by third-party service providers;
Inform, advise, and issue recommendations to the PIC or PIP;
Ascertain renewal of accreditations or certifications necessary to maintain the required standards in personal data processing; and
Advice the PIC or PIP as regards the necessity of executing a Data Sharing Agreement with third parties, and ensure its compliance with the law;
Responsible in ensuring company adheres to ISO 27001, DPA and other required certification regarding information security.
Ensure the conduct of Privacy Impact Assessments relative to activities, measures, projects, programs, or systems of the Corporation;
Advise the Corporation on complaints and/or the exercise by data subjects of their rights (e.g., request for information, clarifications, rectification or deletion of personal data);
Ensure proper data breach and security incident management by the Corporation, including the latter’s preparation and submission.
Role Profile:
Strong risk management and auditing experience
Strong knowledge of and experience with standards such as ISO 270001/2. ISO 22301, PCI-DSS and Data Privacy Laws
Good understanding of Risk Assessment Frameworks
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix Information and Security risks
Excellent documentation, communication and presentation skills
Good team working skills to develop security solutions in collaboration with other key stakeholders
High attention to detail
Strong team player, collaborator, and positive influence on organizational culture
Strong organizational and planning skills
Self-motivated, independent, quick to learn and willing to develop new skills
Bachelor’s degree
At least 3- 5 years’ experience in related area as an individual contributor
1-3 years supervisory experience may be required
Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes
