Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Direct Sourcing Specialist to support end-to-end direct sourcing activities for materials and components. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and commercial analysis. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely sourcing execution while achieving quality, cost, and service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Execute sourcing events for assigned direct procurement categories, including supplier identification, RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, and negotiation support.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand material requirements, technical specifications, and business needs.
Support supplier evaluation, onboarding documentation, qualification, and commercial comparison activities.
Monitor purchase commitments, delivery schedules, and supplier performance to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Maintain sourcing records, supplier databases, contracts, pricing documents, and procurement reports.
Analyze spend, pricing trends, supplier performance, and market data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Participate in supplier review meetings and track action plans to improve supplier performance and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, delegated authority, governance standards, and audit requirements.
Drive continuous process improvements across sourcing, requisition, supplier management, and procurement workflows.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to support strategic sourcing initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2–7 years of experience in Direct Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Category Management, or Supply Chain Operations.
Strong understanding of sourcing processes, supplier management, procurement lifecycle, and commercial negotiations.
Experience coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of spend analysis, contract management, pricing analysis, and procurement reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet business deadlines.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
