Education:
• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)
• Non-technical graduation in finance & accounts stream - B.Com + CA / MBA (Finance)
Job Summary:
The resource will play a critical role in the production and oversight of regulatory reports submitted to federal and state agencies, including the FDIC, FRB, OCC, and FFIEC. This position requires deep knowledge of banking regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Report:
• Lead the preparation and submission of complex regulatory reports (e.g., Call Reports, FR Y-9C, 031/041, Y9C or other Reg report).
• Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and reporting instructions.
Data Analysis & Reconciliation
• Oversee data extraction, transformation, and validation processes.
• Perform detailed reconciliations between regulatory reports, general ledger, and financial statements.
• Investigate and resolve variances and reporting anomalies.
Governance & Controls
• Maintain and enhance documentation of reporting processes, controls, and data lineage.
• Support internal and external audits, including FDIC examinations, by providing timely and accurate responses.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
• Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory reporting requirements and best practices.
Process Improvement & Automation
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Participate in system upgrades, UAT testing, and automation initiatives.
Regulatory Change Management
• Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on reporting processes.
• Lead efforts to update reporting logic and templates in response to regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of U.S. banking regulations and reporting frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, FDICIA, Basel III).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting platforms (e.g., DataIKU,Snowflake,Axiom, Oracle, SAP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with FDIC deposit insurance assessments and related reporting.
• Familiarity with regulatory submission portals (e.g., CDR, Reporting Central).
