Master Data Management – Assistant Manager
Location: Chennai
Experience: 7–10 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Master Data Management Assistant Manager to manage employee master data across HR, payroll, timekeeping, and benefits systems. The role will ensure data accuracy, compliance, timely processing, and seamless coordination across HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and HR Business Partner teams.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Master Data Management
Manage employee master data updates including cost center, compensation, pay rate, job title, supervisor, office location, and union code changes.
Process promotions, demotions, job changes, transfers, and primary job number updates.
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of employee records.
Employee Lifecycle Management
Process new hires, promotions, reactivations, terminations, and employee status changes.
Manage Leave of Absence (LOA) and return-from-leave transactions.
Handle subcontractor records and employee personal action requests.
Data Reconciliation & Reporting
Analyze and resolve data discrepancies between HR, payroll, and benefits systems.
Prepare and review fallout reports between systems such as ADX, WinTeam, and LISA.
Perform data corrections and ensure accurate reconciliation to prevent downstream payroll and HR issues.
Compliance & Data Audits
Conduct pay rate, job data, benefits-impacting, and other HR data audits.
Ensure employee data complies with organizational policies, labor regulations, and applicable union agreements.
Perform periodic and ad-hoc data quality reviews.
Employee Information Management
Process changes to employee address, email, phone number, banking/direct deposit, and other personal information.
Validate sensitive employee information and maintain data accuracy.
IT & Cross-Functional Coordination
Raise and manage IT service tickets related to employee data and system access.
Work closely with Payroll, Benefits, HR Business Partners, and IT teams.
Ensure smooth and timely resolution of data and system-related issues.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of HR Operations, Payroll Operations, and Employee Lifecycle Management.
Hands-on experience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
Experience with systems such as ADX, WinTeam, LISA, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical, data reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of employee master data and HR processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
7–10 years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll Operations, Master Data Management, or Order Management.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions.
