Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. The role involves building and managing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing ETL/ELT processes to migrate and deploy data across various systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and data pipeline development, along with the ability to optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize queries for speed and efficiency.

• Design and implement Snowflake schemas, including fact and dimension tables.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark within Databricks.

• Build and manage batch and streaming data workflows.

• Implement ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into curated datasets.

• Manage data access controls and permissions using Unity Catalog.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Participate actively in team discussions and contribute to technical solutions.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure performance and reliability.

• Document data processes and workflows to support knowledge sharing and maintain clear technical documentation.

• Stay updated on data engineering trends and best practices to continuously improve data workflows.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.

• At least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform is mandatory.

• Expert proficiency in the Databricks platform.

• Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and implementation.

• Experience with data integration, transformation, and ETL/ELT techniques.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.

• Knowledge of batch and streaming data workflows.

• Experience with Snowflake schema design, fact tables, and dimension tables.

• Familiarity with Unity Catalog, including data access controls and permissions.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to optimize data workflows for scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Work Requirements

• Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Manila.
