Job Description : 

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Engineer specializing in enterprise physical security systems, particularly Lenel OnGuard, with growing expertise in Genetec Security Center. The successful candidate will support the deployment, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modernization of physical security applications while helping transition from a primarily OnGuard environment to a hybrid OnGuard and Genetec operating model.

The role covers access control, video management, alarm monitoring, badge and visitor management, application integrations, database administration, and enterprise security operations. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Required Skills : 

1. Lenel OnGuard: Enterprise architecture, administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and access control.

2. Genetec Security Center: Knowledge of Synergis, Omnicast, Mission Control, and related security modules.

3. Microsoft SQL Server: Database maintenance, performance tuning, backup, restore, and disaster recovery.

4. Windows Server and Networking: IIS, Active Directory, certificates, TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls, and TLS.

5. System Integration: OpenAccess API, DataConduIT, REST APIs, identity systems, and third-party security devices.

Key Responsibilities : 

• Deploy, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot Lenel OnGuard and related physical security applications.

• Support the transition toward Genetec Security Center and manage coexistence between both platforms.

• Configure and maintain application servers, communication services, databases, clients, and third-party integrations.

• Support access control, video management, alarm monitoring, badge management, visitor workflows, and related security operations.

• Perform system health checks, log reviews, service validation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.

• Maintain SQL Server performance, backup and recovery processes, data retention, and reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, database, cybersecurity, security operations, and vendor teams.

• Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, upgrade procedures, migration plans, and operational runbooks.

• Support integrations with HR, identity, reporting, badge-printing, biometric, and access-control systems.

• Identify opportunities for application rationalization, automation, process improvement, and system optimization.

• Contribute to solution architecture, modernization roadmaps, migration planning, and operational readiness.

Qualifications : 

• Strong hands-on expertise in Lenel OnGuard, including enterprise deployments, administration, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center, with hands-on experience preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Understanding of enterprise networking, cybersecurity, identity integration, and secure application communications.

• Experience supporting global or multi-site physical security environments.
• Strong technical documentation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
