About the Role

CGI is seeking a Mid/Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright and Apache JMeter. The role involves building end-to-end automation frameworks, executing performance tests, managing test cycles, and identifying system and infrastructure bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and scale E2E test automation frameworks using Playwright
• Develop and execute performance testing scenarios using Apache JMeter
• Apply Page Object Model (POM), modern locators, auto-waiting, and async/await patterns
• Create sophisticated JMeter scripts with parameterization, assertions, distributed testing, and dynamic value correlation
• Manage test cycles and evaluate user stories for technical feasibility
• Track, analyze, and report system defects
• Analyze load behavior and performance metrics
• Identify infrastructure and application bottlenecks
• Collaborate with development and technical teams to improve application quality and performance

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• 4–8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong focus on Test Automation
• Hands-on experience building E2E testing frameworks using Playwright
• Strong understanding of modern locators, auto-waiting, async/await, and Page Object Model (POM)
• Extensive hands-on experience with Apache JMeter
• Strong knowledge of JMeter parameterization, assertions, distributed testing, and correlation of dynamic values
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience with Shell Scripting
