Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Monitoring & Observability (Azure)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or Monitoring & Observability experience, including 3+ years with Azure monitoring solutions.

Hands-on expertise in Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics (KQL), and ServiceNow Event Management.
Strong knowledge of Telemetry, APM, Synthetic Monitoring, and proactive monitoring strategies.
Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, and ThousandEyes.
Familiarity with SLO/SLI platforms (e.g., Nobl9) and observability governance.
Solid understanding of networking (WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, PKI) and ITSM processes (ServiceNow).
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across Operations, Platform, Network, Security, and Product teams
Knowledge of AIOps concepts and modern observability practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise monitoring standards, architectures, and automation using Azure Monitor, ServiceNow ITOM Event Management, Grafana, and APM tools.

Drive SLO/SLI-based reliability practices to improve service availability and performance.

Develop monitoring frameworks, runbooks, event models, and alert routing to enable faster incident resolution.

Reduce alert fatigue, improve MTTR, and enhance operational excellence through observability best practices.

Partner with engineering and product teams to embed monitoring, self-healing, and reliability into applications.

Contribute to enterprise observability strategy, governance, and tooling standards while mentoring technical teams.

Promote continuous improvement by leveraging telemetry, postmortems, and automation.
