Training Specialist – Clinical Programs

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Training Specialist to deliver high-impact clinical training that prepares licensed clinicians for US managed care operations. The role focuses on building clinical competency, strengthening quality, and supporting continuous learning across clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate onboarding, pre-production, and continuing education (CE) training for clinical staff.

• Deliver training on Utilization Management (UM), Utilization Review (UR), Case Management (CM), clinical documentation, HIPAA/PHI compliance, and clinical protocols.

• Conduct skills validations, case simulations, and clinical competency assessments.

• Develop, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and workflow guides.

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready training records and competency documentation.

• Partner with Operations, Quality Assurance (QA), and Talent Acquisition (TA) to address performance gaps and support clinical hiring and training pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Active Philippine Registered Nurse (PHRN) license.

• Active, unrestricted US Registered Nurse (USRN) license; NCLEX must be passed.

• At least 3 years of clinical experience.

• At least 1–2 years of clinical training, education, or facilitation experience.

• Strong understanding of US managed care, UM, UR, and HIPAA/PHI compliance.

• Healthcare BPO training experience and experience supporting UR/UM operations.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, and clinical documentation skills.

• Currently working as a Clinical Trainer or Apprentice Trainer, with relevant clinical training experience.

• Exposure to URAC/NCQA standards or clinical documentation platforms is an advantage.

• Willingness to work onsite at Vertis North, Quezon City, on a US day shift.

Important License Requirement

Both the Philippine RN and USRN licenses must be active. Candidates whose licenses are nearing expiration must be willing to renew them.

Candidates must complete an on-the-spot clinical review writing assessment during the interview. A laptop or desktop computer is required to complete the assessment. Please ensure you are prepared before attending the interview.
