The USRN Trainer delivers and manages clinical training programs for new and experienced nurses across areas like Utilization Management, Case Management, Appeals, Triage, and Claims Review. The role involves facilitating virtual and in-person training using adult learning methods, ensuring clinical competency, compliance with U.S. healthcare regulations, and alignment with client requirements. Responsibilities include developing and updating training materials, assessing trainee performance, providing coaching, and supporting transition to operations. The trainer maintains documentation, ensures compliance (including HIPAA), reports performance, identifies learning gaps, and contributes to continuous improvement and training quality enhancement.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Must be an active, unrestricted USRN with 2–3 years bedside experience (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry) and at least 1 year experience as a USRN Trainer in a BPO or U.S. healthcare setting (e.g., UM, CM, Triage, Appeals, Claims).
Requires knowledge of MCG/Milliman, InterQual, clinical guidelines, HIPAA, and U.S. medical terminology.
Prior training or clinical education experience is required, with understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum design.
Strong English communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are essential.
Must be able to work onsite, remote, or hybrid; instructional design experience is a plus.
