Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Japanese Bilingual)

Location: Aura, Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Work Setup: Onsite
Shift: Permanent Night Shift (Fixed Weekends Off)
Salary Package: PHP 90,000 – PHP 95,000 (For Non-Native Japanese Speakers)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Japanese Bilingual Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting Shared Services team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or General Accounting, along with business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable processes, supporting Japan-based vendors, and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.

Key Responsibilities

Process high volumes of vendor invoices and employee expense reports accurately using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
Perform 3-way matching of Purchase Orders (PO), Goods Receipts, and Invoices.
Prepare and execute weekly and monthly payment runs.
Support month-end closing activities, including AP accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable tax regulations.
Act as the primary point of contact for Japan-based vendors.
Resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries in Japanese and English.
Collaborate with Procurement and Receiving teams to resolve billing concerns.
Translate AP-related documents and communications between Japanese and English when required.

Qualifications

Filipino candidates (Native and Non-Native Japanese speakers are welcome to apply).
Business-level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or N2 preferred; strong N3 candidates may also be considered).
Business-level proficiency in English.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or General Accounting.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Knowledge of Japanese business etiquette and corporate communication.
Experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or BPO environment is an advantage.
Knowledge of Japanese Consumption Tax (JCT) and withholding tax rules is a plus.
