Analyst (Application Engineer) – Business & IT

Location: Makati City, Philippines
Work Setup: Hybrid
Work Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Experience: 5–7 years

Job Summary

We are seeking an Analyst (Application Engineer) who can effectively bridge business requirements and technology solutions. The role combines Business Analysis and IT/Application Engineering, focusing on requirements gathering, application support, testing, system optimization, and stakeholder collaboration.

The successful candidate will work closely with business owners, program managers, solution architects, technology teams, and IT support groups to ensure applications meet business needs and operate reliably.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and system specifications.
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for workflow and system improvements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internally developed and vendor applications.
Diagnose and resolve application-related incidents and system issues.
Collaborate with engineering, technology, and IT support teams to maintain application stability and performance.
Support application integration and solution design activities.
Work with .NET/C# applications and REST APIs.
Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
Define and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
Build and maintain regression test suites aligned with critical business workflows.
Support test automation and integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct Business-to-UAT testing, validation, and sign-off.
Ensure quality gates and comprehensive validation are completed before production releases.
Prepare technical and functional documentation and support user adoption.
Help ensure continuity of business operations by resolving application-related issues promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Analyst, Application Engineer, or in a similar role.
Strong experience with .NET / C# applications.
Hands-on experience with REST APIs and application integration.
Experience with Azure, particularly App Services, Functions, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Experience in software testing, including functional, regression, end-to-end, and UAT testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
Strong documentation and requirements management skills.
